Spotlight on Fashion

Are you coming to Tanjerine for the fashion? We’ve got you covered!

We’d like to introduce you to the Tanjerine fashion team: Sarah Carter and Katie Marple! Sarah is a stylist at a do hair design who also uses her great sense of fashion for styling at editorial shoots. Katie, who owns Flaxen Fatale Vintage Clothing, has been featured in Pattern and is a fashion stylist for both commercial and editorial shoots. We’d like to give a big thanks to these two fashion forward females!

Here is a taste of the fashion elements that you won’t want to miss over the four days of Tanjerine:

Wednesday, April 16: The craft cocktail competition is the perfect event to showcase cocktail dresses made the The Art Institute Of Indianapolis student designers! Keep your eye on these up-and-coming designers that will be displaying their creative talent. In the Pattern Shop Box, you’ll find Lucky B Boutique, Glam Boutique, Polymath, Las Casas and Niche for all of your shopping needs.

Thursday, April 17: If you missed The Art Institute Of Indianapolis student designers on Wednesday night, you’ll have a chance to check out their work on Thursday, too. With summer right around the corner, OFabz Swimwear will be modeled for a live photo shoot along with wedding dresses created by Alyssa Botkins. Does your hair need an update? Stop by the Bumble and Bumble booth where you can check out new trends along with the hair and makeup process for our models.

Friday, April 18: Fashionistas won’t want to miss Friday’s Fashion Parade featuring niche, Haus Love, Beatriz Designz, Papel Picado and L Modelz. This will be a fashion show like you’ve never seen before! Catch a break dancing performance from Alkemy, who will be outfitted in No Bad Ideas at 7:30 pm, 9:30 pm and 10:30 pm. Nicole Yalowitz will be doing fashion sketches while all sorts of visual art will be found around the building.

Saturday, April 19: The final night of Tanjerine will combine all the elements of food, film and fashion for one last hurrah! Check out the fashion trucks outside of The Sanctuary for some local shopping along with the vendors in Pattern’s Shop Box inside. Keep your eyes peeled for a flash mob that will be wearing vintage clothing and accessories from some local vendors, and the Alkemy break dancers will be back again.
